Verification usually takes 3–5 business days. Once verified and payment is confirmed, you'll get a unique badge with your membership number to use however you want.

How do I get verified? What's the process?
Just fill out the request form above! You'll submit basic information like your name and what you make, plus a video or equivalent evidence documenting your complete creation process.
The verification process will take 3–5 business days, after which you'll receive the ability to be a dues-paying member and get your member's badge.
I use an AI service for non-creative parts of my work. Can I get certified?
Yes, as long as your work output remains 100% human-made. The By Hand Union seal applies to your creative output, not your back end process.
Is the mark legally protected? What can I do with it?
Yes. The By Hand Union seal is protected under common copyright, and USPTO trademark certification is underway.
Show it off however you want! Your unique badge will be an embeddable web item, as well as an image. Throw it on your website, pin it on your socials, put it on a tent at your fair table, the sky's the limit.
What do my dues cover?
Your $5/month covers website hosting, badge creation, the verification process, and social media/communications creation.
As we get more members, we'll have the financial ability to host events, provide legal support, and more!
